About us

The Hostal Acacia is an historic inn located near the heart of the city. Opposite is the Benedictine Monastery of San Juan which is now an art gallery.

Burgos is a compulsory stop for pilgrims of all nationalities enroute from Gamonal to Santiago, and is a “must see” destination for tourists.

In front of the gates of the Monastery of San Juan is found the church of Saint Lesmes, the patron saint of Burgos. His tomb is located inside the church.

Pilgrims since the 12th century have been drawn to the famous cathedral and especially to the revered Chapel of Santiago and the statue of Christ of Burgos.
